A New Chapter Begins

Tonight, FMCS announced that, due to circumstances be our control, we will not be headed to Corpus Christi this year.

The Lord has opened up a new door to El Salvador with King's Castle Ministries. Take a look at the links to the right of this page. We had a great parent meeting tonight and I am excited to see what the Lord is going to do with this class.

More news coming soon! Please be sure to get your new form signed and notarized. Keep your list of important dates posted at home.

Update: 10/23

According to our missions team events calendar, we are scheduled to have:

"Fundraiser: 9:30-3:30  p.m. - missions team drama practice and car wash fundraiser MANDATORY ATTENDANCE"

In talking with Mrs. Mitchell, with a smaller team this year it will be harder for us to split the team into two groups (one working on drama and the other washing cars and then switching after lunch).

So what we will do on November 3rd is still meet, but only have our first team drama practice that will take place from 9-12 that morning, rather than 9:30-3:30.

So the new plan, and please plan accordingly, the missions team will have drama/clown practice from 9-12 on 11/3.

In other news:
- we are waiting for all the final money to come in from the Move-A-Thon so that we can place 1/3 into their missions account.
- Mrs. O'Grosky is communicating with all of you about the Edison Christmas fundraiser.
- Have you sent out support letters yet? You want to try to catch people or businesses before the end of the year for a tax deduction.

Thank you

Mr. Mitchell

October 1 Update

As of today, the missions trip is 170 days away!

So with that in mind:
- keep praying about your participation in this trip whether student or adult.
- how is your fundraising going? have you sent out support letters? sold coupon books? raised money through the MOVE-A-THON? doing an A-A-THON? Just checking...
- Highlight from last month: Abby Naive baking and selling bread to raise money! Keep it up!

So Proud Of Your Kids!

The missions team did a great job today with elementary chapel, helping with the PK Easter activities and tonight at KAIO! Thank you for your investment - the seeds that have been planted in our kids need to be watered so that they can grow in Christ. We can see great things happen with them and those they minister to here.

Missionaries Return

Our eighth grade missionaries have returned from Texas and returned to the elementary class that prayed for them. Each student had a chance to try to put into words their missions experience.

The Trip is over...or is it?

Dear parents,

Russell Hanson, the ranch hand at Jubalee Ranch, told the kids to make sure you “thank your parents for allowing you to do something like this!” I don’t know if your kids did, but I want to thank you for allowing us to take your kids to Texas. You can be proud of the way the Lord used them.

So what’s next? We are praying for the Lord to continue to use them! We currently have some events scheduled:

THIS FRIDAY – 8:30 am they go back to their elementary classroom to report on their trip. They can wear their mission t-shirts but NOT the one with the autographs on them.

BIG DATE – FRIDAY – March 30 – INVITE EVERYONE – the missions team will do their full program for you with human videos and clown skits, testimonies and more. Be here at 7:00 pm, invite anyone – especially those who may have donated towards the trip for the kids.

April 3 – Middle School chapel ministry for 6th-8th from 10:30-11:10 am

April 4 – Clown ministry in elementary chapel from 8:45-9:15 am

TBA – we are trying to work it out for the kids to minister at KAIO on a Wednesday night

VIDEO AND PICTURES: Also, I am working on the DVD highlights of the trip and a picture CD with over 200 pictures. The DVD will be $10 and the picture CD will be $5. The money raised will go towards next year’s trip. You can start sending in your payment/order this week.
