Sunday Services

This morning we are attending the Rivera's church - Bay Area Fellowship. We are in the 10:00 youth service - they have three on Sunday morning. WOW!

Best For Last

For the final part of our time at the shelter, the Lord saved the best for last. We were able to pray with several of the ladies there and bless them by playing with their children. One home needs prayer for protection for a mom and children who are seeking the Lord for the right answers. Thanks for your prayers - they ARE making a difference.

Women's Shelter

Our second ministry is occurring right now in a women's shelter. We have a chance to serve here by cleaning and rearranging a playroom for children/teens; we also had a group that was trying to clean up and rearrange their clothing distribution room.












The group is now involved in an educational discussion about abuse situation in our society today, led by their director.

Great Time

The team, along with several different pastors and leaders, had a good time at the City Hall area doing one of our dramas, passing out lunches and water, and praying with people.

Will Not Rain on Our Parade

The weather is like Ohio in the fall (best way I can relate) - cold and wet. Probably more rain so far than in all our years COMBINED here on the trips.

HOWEVER, God is using us and we see some good things happening. We have a guest home on the ranch to worship and sleep.








Right now we are making sandwiches and ministry packets as we partner with Brother Rusty Williams and a outreach to the homeless in downtown Corpus. Pray for us. Women's shelter later.

Agenda For the Missions Trip Now Posted

ALL Team meeting tonight at 6:30-9:30 pm in the Kidztown Chapel! Dinner provided.

Team will be prayed for in all three First Assembly services this weekend - be there at 5:45 pm Saturday and by 9:15 Sunday morning, seated up front to the right.

Missionary Practice

Today the 8th graders got a taste of what it is like to be a missionary that has to stand in front of a church and talk about missions. Each 8th grader has a class that will be supporting them through prayer! They went to their class this morning, talked about the upcoming trip, passed out prayer cards and their class prayed for them!

Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

Reminders going into this month:

-       - Students practicing skits with Mrs. Mitchell on Thursday and Fridays from 2:00-2:51

-      - Saturday, 25^th – meeting with clown make-up application, skit practice and what to pack sheets distributed; 9-1:00 lunch included

-       - Tuesday, February 28^th – Meeting of all adult and alumni sponsor leaders going on the trip, 6:30 pm

March:

-       - March 1 – all money due ($1100)     

-       - Friday, March 2 – all team meeting with students and leaders

-      - Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4 – all students at the First Assembly services to be prayed for as Mr. Mitchell also uses the students to tlak about FMCS

-       - March 8^th – we leave!!!!
